Alternative Fueling Station Locations, published by the U.S. Department of Energy and maintained by the National Laboratory of the Rockies. AFDC imports many network records daily; update frequency varies by provider.

• Snapshot date: September 16, 2026
• Public U.S. DC fast-charging locations analyzed: 10,711 multi-port reports, with all public DC-fast locations used for fallback analysis
• Fields used: status, DC fast port count, access hours, network, connector types, latitude/longitude, record update date

What AFDC status means here

“Available” and “temporarily unavailable” are snapshot record states, not real-time stall availability. Drivers should verify live operations in the charging provider’s app.

Known limitations

• The dataset may lag field conditions or operator changes.
• A site count is not the same as simultaneously usable charging stalls.
• Power output, queuing, pricing, vehicle compatibility and maintenance history are not consistently available nationwide.
• Straight-line fallback distances can understate driving distance.
• The score is a planning aid, not safety advice or a guarantee.

Corrections

Station facts originate with AFDC and its data providers. If a listing is wrong, submit the correction to AFDC or the charging network; ChargerGrade will incorporate changes in a future snapshot.
